Popping candies are able to pop because of something that is in the air we breathe. Carbon dioxide. It gives it that popping effect that we all know and love. All of the peices in poping candy has a high amount of pressure from that carbon dioxide and when it releases in your mouth it lets out that pressure and pops. It also has the same effect on soda since it contains fizz. But I am warning you once a boy had too much popping candy and ate soda afterward he exploded!

Sour candies are unique and different from other candies because of what goes on top of them and inside of them. Milac acid is what goes on top of them. It really is the reason that sour candies are so sour. Take warheads for example, all of the milac acid makes warheads how they are today. Some candies have citric acid on the inside like sour patch kids, and that also makes them sour. Those are the two main things that make those candies sour. But, each candy is unique and different!
